Storytime
Mondays and Fridays at 10 AM

Join us for stories, songs, and a craft! All ages are welcome with a caregiver. No registration is required.

Movement & Music

Mondays and Fridays at 10:30 AM

Come get your wiggles out at the library.  We provide the music; you provide the movement.  All ages are welcome with a caregiver. 

Read All About It

2nd Tuesday of each month at 4:30 PM

Book group for 1st & 2nd graders.  No need to read a book in advance - we will read one together.  Kids will also enjoy a snack and make a craft.

Pizza & Pages

3rd Tuesday of each month at 4:30 PM

Book group for 3rd-8th graders.  Kids may read any book they like in advance and come prepared to tell what they liked (or didn’t like) about the book.  Kids will also have pizza and make a craft.

Drop-In Craft

1st Tuesday of every month at 10 AM

Stop by the library for a simple craft.  Crafts can be made at the library or taken home to make later. All ages are welcome!

Creative Dance
2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month at 9:30 AM

The library is teaming up with Lake Michigan Dance Academy to offer this fun dance class for kids. This class will introduce your children to basic principles of dance through new and imaginative ways of moving. Join us for a fun, energetic, and exciting 30 minutes of creativity. 

Sensory Playtime

2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month at 10 AM

Join us for toys and activities that promote fine motor skill development.  A great opportunty for parents and children to socialize!

Movies @ the Library

1st and 3rd Saturday of every month at 1 PM

Free popcorn and movies appropriate for the entire family.  Check the library event calendar for movie titles.

Movies in the Park

Friday evenings in July and August

Free movies shown in the Allendale Township Park on Fridays during July and August. Check out our calendar of events for the full Movies in the Park schedule!

Lego Club

1st Saturday of each month at 11 AM

You bring your Legos and creativity. We will provide a theme and prizes each month. Don't have Legos? No problem - the library has some that you can use. We will have about 45 minutes of build time, then participants will have a chance to tell everyone about their creation. We'll finish up with a prize drawing!

1000 Books before Kindergarten

Get your child ready for kindergarten by committing to read them 1000 Books Before Kindergarten. For each 100 books read to your child, they will receive a prize.  After 1,000 books are read, your child will receive a free book, completion certificate, and an opportunity to be on the Wall of Fame.

Summer Reading Program

When school gets out, head for the library!  Weekly programs and lots of opportunities for prizes for readers.
