Loving animals from childhood starts Nancy on a path that guides both her life, and the quest to find herself. Dogs soon define her world. Each dog enters Nancy’s life with a purpose and the lessons they share are profound. Nearly all were rescues—mostly mutts, a few purebreds, some young and some near the end of life—but each had something to give. More than loyal friends and steadfast companions, dogs became Nancy’s greatest teachers, allowing her to confront personal failures and professional challenges.
